This way we don't need to invest in research and development, while maximizing profits and playing roulette with the health of all Americans...for that matter...the world.

Rather than providing medications that prevent the spread of a HIV, we would rather price it so high that no one can afford it. Not to worry though, insurance companies and government officials we have bribed will take care of payments for hard working Americans through ever increasing health insurance.
We know full well that means that anyone who loses medical insurance either can go bankrupt on our medications or just quit taking them and see what happens. This way HIV will mutate...and we know it is only a matter of time before it does...and a whole new epidemic of drug-resistant strains of HIV enter the population.
